Ran Mobile: The Masterclass — Patch 1.8.4 Notes

Ran Mobile: The Masterclass — Patch 1.8.4 Notes

Welcome to Patch 1.8.4! This version brings a wave of highly requested additions—including the official Supporters Weapon Costume, a streamlined Mini-Chat interface, and the Character Name Change system. We've also addressed critical issues regarding the Bonus Time Gauge (BTG) system, interface glitches, and deployed essential structural shifts to end-game item crafting. Read below for the full patch documentation.

✨ Brand New Additions & Features

  • Supporters Weapon Costume: Show your status! The highly anticipated, exclusive Supporters weapon visual skins have been officially released.
  • Name Change System Live: Ready for a fresh identity? The Change Name Card asset is now officially available for purchase inside the D-Mall.
  • Mini-Chat View UI: Keep your screen clean. A lightweight, compact mini-chat view element has been integrated into the user interface, allowing you to easily track chat channels without blocking your field of vision.
  • Strife Discord Sync: We have launched a dedicated discord channel specifically tuned to broadcast real-time updates and notifications for live, in-game Strife combat events.
  • Guild Pride Icons: Special custom club emblems for winning organizations from our recent Guild Pride I event have been officially updated in the system database.

🔧 General Fixes, Core Balance, & UI Correctives

  • Bonus Time Gauge (BTG) Fix: Resolved a severe multiplier logic bug where the BTG experience boost would mistakenly restrict itself to a single map zone. The EXP multiplier now safely follows your character across map transitions.
  • Invulnerability Exploitation Patch: We have successfully patched a critical invulnerability bug loop.
⚠️ Initial Login Notice: This backend fix may temporarily cause some characters to experience locked movement states upon their first loading sequence. To resolve this, simply use the manual "Unstuck" utility button on your initial login screen.
  • Blacksmith Menu Overhauls: Patched a persistent interface freeze that blocked players from re-accessing the Blacksmith node after completing a single interaction loop. Furthermore, cleanups have been made to remove redundant, non-functional extra buttons from the item Dismantle panel.
  • Booh Goc Exchange Realignment: Repaired broken exchange index routes on our core item-trading vendor, Booh Goc. The turn-in calculations have been fully synchronized for the following pools:
    • Anniversary Item Exchange (Category C)
    • Pet & Companion Materials
    • White Angel Costume Set
    • Alpha Wardrobe Set
    • EA Theme Costume Set
  • Oblivion E Balancing: The skill reset parameters for the Swordsman's Oblivion E ability have been reworked. The system now strictly tracks and recalculates using a clean formula baseline: Total Skill Points × Current Character Level.
  • Combat & Interaction Polish: Fixed missing graphics for the Club War objective capture progress status bar, repaired a layout error that broke the floor-loot pick-up button response, resolved a network routing glitch that disabled the Whisper private chat tab, and cleaned up a visual clipping error on monster health point bars.
  • Map Housekeeping: Removed an unintended duplicate extra portal asset floating inside the Campus 1F map layer to avoid travel confusion. We have also updated and expanded our in-game load screen tutorial tips.

🚧 Critical System Advisory: Item Crafting Overhaul

⚠️ End-Game Crafting Paused for Optimization

To prepare for an upcoming economic re-balance and structural item tuning pass, assembly lines for our highest-tier equipment layers have been modified:

  • Disabled Recipes: Crafting paths for the final end-game gear tier—specifically the Last Set (Steel Set) and all Last Weapon Variants—have been temporarily disabled.
  • Boss Drop Availability: Don't panic! You can still hunt for and secure pre-rolled Last Weapons equipped with baseline stats directly from end-game Boss Monster loot drops.
  • Catch-Up Gear: Standard NPC Sets and Weapons will remain fully available to ensure new or transitioning players can progress smoothly through the levels while the crafting system is being reworked.

📝 Legal Guidelines: Character Name Change Rules

To avoid database mapping conflicts, specific zone and tracking limits have been applied to the new Name Identity system:

  • Location Constraint: The Change Name Card asset can only be opened and successfully executed while your character is physically standing within an Inner Campus safe-zone map.
  • Finality Warning: This operation cannot be undone. Please input your intended new name string with absolute precision. No account rollbacks or text corrections will be provided by administration for accidental typing errors once the name change command has executed.
